YES... Alternators are completely 100% plastic and being a Hasbro product.. paintjob can be sucky at times... However Binaltech is only good in the earlier series... once they become BTA which includes those very Hentai-ish girls.. the quality sucks big time...and they also have jumped onto the 100% plastic bandwagon... eversince Takara merged with Tomy.. their quality have somewhat dropped as well.. a good example is MP03.. a masterpiece made of plastic is just not convincing enuf.. especiually when we had a taste of MP01 Optimus Prime in heavy die-cast metal

Cheers!!!

Big Difference... most Alt starts off at 99.90 each and Binaltech started off at around 220... but somewhere in the middle on last year when Takara merged with Tomy.. Takara offload a heck lot of Binaltech's at the same price as Alternators... but only the Binaltech's from the later series and not those from the earlier series..

That is why the first 10 Binaltech figures r much more expensive as seen on ebay pricing.. they range from 240 onwards till 380... to date.. the most expensive figs r Smokescreen, Wheeljack and Lazerwave.. although both Wheeljack n Lazerwave r from the later series.. these 2 figs r G1 fan fav ... even Alternators can go from 150 - 200 nowadays... so unless u r loaded... ur wallet's gonna bleed profusedly if u go into collecting Binalternators :)

Cheers!!!

Man i didn't know that, i thought people like me who still loves the Alt/BT (even loves to mess with it) feel there are outdated sometimes however i still loves them .
