Is just plain common sense for buyers to flee to a seller who offers them the same items that they are looking for at a lower price. Their loyalty remains to the one who sells toys are a dirt cheap price.

You do know that it is impossible to convience those collectors to follow this mentality (be loyal to the toy stores no matter what happens). You know that from experience.

Alot who don't agree with my opinion...especially those who don't like to buy from shops n insists that all items should remain at retail price no matter what...well these ppl will have to hunt for their stuff at places like TRU... n unless u r a big spender with contacts with the staff who will notify u when certain stocks arrived... u will have to risk missing items u wanted :)

I ain't no big spender and i have absolutely no contacts at places like TRU and Jusco in fact every time they see me some of them feel like taking a knife and start throwing at me but so far i manage to get what i want at those large retail like TRU And Jusco sometimes at a discount without paying any goreng price for it and without risking missing the items.

Whichever path u take..it's up to u to choose n learn..but whichever u chose.. it's part of the game of being a toy collector heheh..it's like they say... can't handle the heat... get out of the kitchen

Let's face it N_M some collectors here don't give a crap about showing loyalty and the reward they get from it as long as they can get a toy at a low price that is all that matters.

Well true enuf... but it is these very same collectors who go bellyaching like crazy when they don get the item they wanted n it gets goreng... That's how it is in the collecting game and...That's just the fact of life

besides... i'm just advising collectors who r new at it to go about optimising their chance to get an item.. especially when they r "HOT" and "Over Hyped' ... Over Hyped or not... as long as a collector is out hunting for it.. it is sought after.

besides, when u good rapport is forged with an owner n loyalty is forged.. u get priorities where items r hold n booked for u.. and most often then not.. much cheaper then retail. u don get 10% all da time at TRU or JUsco

But it's understandable that there r ppl out there who simply don't endorse any loyalty to toyshops n expect shop owners to give em good pricing... hehehe they just live in their own world n expect everything remain at retail forever n ever

So.. it is these ppl who will irritate the hell out of me... U can't even begin to call urself a collector..big time or small time when u do not acknowledge the market price n value of the item... Imagine a guy comes up to u and say.. hey, i want a vintage TF.. last time when i was a kid..it was selling at 50... i'm ready to offer u 60 !!! Now this scenario is just laughable.. n more often than not.. when i get such ppl asking me for my items or ask me to help em to look for it..i'll just tell em to... go buy soft toys.. pricing will always remain the same

sometime I wonder who is the one spoiling/killing the market the collectors itself who support scalpers knowing that they are paying for an overprice figures and those "loyal only to toy shops who sell me hot toys for very low price" or the scalpers?

Man i forgot to mention this, i thought only high rollers go to collector shops where else John Doe like me go to normal retail
