I am all out for the first 4 wonders but the last 3 namely Petra (of Indiana Jones movie famous), Taj Mahal, and Christ Redeemer are actually so-so for me. The Great Pyramid of Egypt, Angkor of Cambodia, and Statues of Easter Islands should be elected as great wonders...
By the way, you can check out more information from the official(or commercial) site: http://www.new7wonders.com

They want to make a new list for the world-acclaimed Wonders of the World instead of the old ancient list... if you wonder, which are the old ones, here is the list:-
The Temple of Artemis The Hanging Gardens of Babylon The Colossus of Rhodes The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus The Lighthouse at Alexandria The Pyramids at Giza The Statue of Zeus Most of them are decaying throughout ages and I think some might have gone!! So the new Wonders shall be elected again according to them, haha! And they made it commercially this time and you can see the flying blimp around the wonders from their pictures.

I did some reading on the ancient seven wonders of the world and only 2 of them left existed (or even exist in real) the Egypt Pyramids of Giza and the Temple of Artemis in Turkey. Most others appear only in illustration/books or destroyed and left in ruins now.
You guys can check easily from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_W..._Ancient_World PS: anyone got better articles on these wonders of the world? I find that it's quite amazing and mystery checking these ancient stuff....
